Jeeves

Our rental car has a built in navigation system. It's really cool. It pops out of the dashboard and the controls are right next to the wind shield wipers. It's actually really cool. The voice of the navigation is this deep, proper British voice, so I have named the navigation Jeeves. We like Jeeves. He helps out a lot, especially getting around all of the round abouts and bear rights or left, but sometimes he yells at us. Once, Gavin pressed the give guidance button because we weren't on the route and couldn't figure out how to get back on the highlighted route. Jeeves answered in an angry voice, "Please refer to the map". He was done with our incompetency for the night.

Here's Jeeves.

Here's our rental car for now. We may trade it in for something smaller. It's a beast to get around the narrow streets. It's a brand new Volvo. It only had about 200 miles on it when we rented it.

The car has a cool trick. Once you lock it, the side mirrors tuck into the side of the car.

I wonder what the American Jeeves would say. Maybe something like, "You guys are being total tards!" :) Not that you are, just that is what judgmental electronics might say.

I have three comments:

1 - how is it that the only one who was good and went to church on Sunday didn't get to talk with her kids in the UK?!

2 - I finally got to catch up on all the pictures and posts - it looks fantastic! Remember all your Berrett ancestors are from Wales so if you get a chance to go visit I would love to see pictures.

3 - Picking up an accent runs in the family. When I was young had a friend from Australia visit for the summer and by the time she left, I was totally speaking like her. Friend in high school from Texas had a big accent, after a month I had one too and she did think I was mocking her!

We love and miss you a lot. (I don't know why you living over there makes it seem like your so much further away - other than you are). Have fun!
